The board of directors of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has approved six new member companies, including StandardAero, Tempe, Ariz., and General Aviation Modifications Inc. (GAMI) of Ada, Okla. StandardAero provides MRO services, airframe work, interior refurbishments and painting for business and GA aircraft. GAMI, which holds STCs and
FAA parts manufacturer approvals (PMAs) for more than 300 engine models, designs and builds various injectors and injector specifications. The other four companies are Phoenix, Ariz-based AmSafe, ICE Corp., Kaman Corp. and Max-Viz of Portland, Ore. The additions are part of GAMA’s appointment of a new chairman and vice chairman for 2009. Jeppesen President & CEO Mark Van Tine will serve as GAMA chairman and Robert Wilson, president of Honeywell Business and General Aviation, will be vice chairman.
