DO-178 Industry Group Formed

Presagis, Montreal, and HighRely, Phoenix, formed a DO-178 Industry Group with the goal of providing tools and guidance in support of projects requiring RTCA DO-178B certification. The group said it looks to reduce confusion, foster collaboration and share best practices for the application of this standard. “More than 1,000 companies rely on the DO-178B standard today and that number is growing,” said Vance Hilderman, co-founder, HighRely. “Over the last two decades the standard has grown in complexity and we need tools and services to help the industry meet DO-178B’s rigorous requirements.” Presagis is a modeling and simulation software company formed out of CAE’s acquisitions.
