Abu Dhabi Int’l Surface Surveillance Solution

Searidge Technologies and its partner in the Gulf region, Bayanat Airports Engineering & Supplies, will install an IntelliDAR system at Abu Dhabi International for advanced surface surveillance. IntelliDAR, a non-cooperative system, provides surface surveillance
capabilities enabling air traffic controllers to have full situational and visual awareness of the airport's newly constructed runway. The IntelliDAR system will greatly enhance the information provided to controllers, allowing them to make timely traffic management decisions with a high degree of confidence. In cases of ambiguity, an air traffic controller
has the ability to visually validate what is seen on the screen by viewing the target through the real-time video protocol provided by IntelliDAR. The device uses a network of digital imaging sensors, coupled with advanced computer vision technology to detect and monitor traffic movements on the airport surface. The system eliminates blind spots, detects non-cooperative targets, and mitigates the risk of runway incursions.
