Book an Escape Route From Your Cubicle With AirTran Airways Great New Sale Fares

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), today launched a sale for travel to all of the airline's destinations with fares starting as low as $59*. Travelers may purchase these sale fares at http://www.airtran.com or via AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.

These special fares are available for purchase through September 16, 2008, and are good for travel through January 28, 2009. Off-peak fares are valid for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Peak fares are valid for travel on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Like all AirTran Airways fares, prices included in this sale are available for one-way travel and do not require a roundtrip purchase or an overnight stay.

*All fares are one-way. All fares are non-refundable and a $75 fee per person applies to any change made after purchase, plus any applicable increase in airfare. One bag per person may be checked free of charge, and a 2nd bag may be checked for a fee of up to $25 per person. Reservations may be obtained or changed through an AirTran Airways Telephone Reservations Center for an additional $15 per person. Ten-day advance purchase required. Lowest sale fares are valid for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Additional sale fares are valid for travel on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Seats are limited, subject to availability, and may not be available on all flights. Tickets must be purchased by September 16, 2008. Sale fares are valid for travel through January 28, 2009. Blackout dates are as follows: November 22, 25, 26, 29 & 30, 2008; December 1, 2008; and December 18, 2008 through January 5, 2009. Service to/from Savannah/Hilton Head ends October 27, 2008. Service to/from Seattle ends November 1, 2008. Service to/from San Diego ends January 5, 2009. Fares, routes, and schedules are subject to change without notice. Fares do not include per-segment tax of $3.50. A segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. The September 11th security fee of up to $10 is not included. Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18 are not included. Fares to/from Puerto Rico do not include additional government taxes of up to $30.80.
