Avionica Achieves ISO 9001:2000, AS9100 Certification

MIAMI, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Avionica is proud to announce our Quality Management System has been assessed and approved by National Quality Assurance (NQA) against the provisions of ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 Revision B.

"Avionica is proud of the efforts of our entire team in this accomplishment," states Stylian Cocalides, Vice President. "We're committed to the continuous improvement concept. We apply it to not only the products and services we provide, but to all aspects of our business, including our vendor relationships, and our commitments to our employees, our community, and the environment.

As a small business in the aerospace field, quality has always been of paramount concern. AS9100 is the next logical step for a company intent on being among the best in the field."

AS9100 is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system for the aerospace industry. It was introduced to the society of Automotive Engineering in the Americas, and the European Association of Aerospace Industries in October, 1999 by Aerospace.

Avionica, Inc. specializes in complete flight data management solutions comprising both airborne avionics as well as ground support equipment. Our airborne products include satLINK, the airborne Iridium voice and messaging communications gateway, secureLINK(TM), the airborne 802.11 wireless gatelink router, the miniQAR(TM), the world's first miniature quick access flight data recorder. Soon to be released is the company's cellQAR(TM), a 3G cellular QAR solution weighing under 9 oz.

Ground support equipment includes the RSU II, a handheld multi-use platform for flight-data recorder monitoring and download, portable dataloading, and databus analysis. Options include AVSCAN.flight(TM), a commercial and military flight data analysis tool, USB429win(TM), a USB ARINC 429 databus analyzer, and LOAD615win(TM), the USB-based ARINC 615 and ARINC 615A portable dataloader.
