(Nasdaq: MESA) today reported its preliminary traffic figures for
October
2006. Year-over-year available seat miles increased 3.5% in
October 2006 to
790 million, compared to 764 million in
October 2005. Revenue passenger miles
increased 4.8% from 548 million in 2005 to 574 million in 2006. Passenger
enplanements increased 15.5% from 1,143,970 in
October 2005 to 1,321,779 in
October 2006.

October was the fifth month of operation for Mesa's independent Hawaii
division go! Despite the service interruptions caused by this month's
earthquake, go! had an overall completion factor of 99.3% and on time arrival
rate of 89.4%. go!'s operations generated 13.5 million available seat miles,
8.5 million revenue passenger miles and 60,466 passenger enplanements,
resulting in a load factor of 62.9%.

"Our fleet transition that began early this year was nearly complete in
October," said Mesa Air Group Chairman & CEO Jonathan Ornstein. He continued,

Mesa currently operates 198 aircraft with over 1,300 daily system
departures to 173 cities, 43 states, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas. Mesa
operates as America West Express, Delta Connection, US Airways Express and
United Express under contractual agreement with America West, Delta Air Lines,
US Airways and United Airlines, respectively, and independently as Mesa
Airlines. Effective June 9, 2006 Mesa launched interisland Hawaiian service
as go! This new operation links Honolulu to the neighbor island airports of
Hilo, Kahului, Kona, and Lihue. The Company, founded by Larry and Janie
