EASA Approval of Emergency Float Systems

DART Helicopter Services' affiliated partner, Apical Industries, received the approval for their emergency float and emergency float with life rafts systems for Agusta model A109E/S aircraft. Both models have FAA certification. The two forward and two aft cylindrical floats that inflate electrically when the float deployment switch is activated offer increased safety. The optional integrated six-man life rafts are deployed via separate electrical switches. This is the only float/raft system that is certified for the increased grow weight of the A109E.
