The MMEA Signs For Three AW139s

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency signed a contract for three AW139 medium twin-engine helicopters plus options for several additional aircraft. The MMEA will use these helicopters to perform search and rescue, coastal patrol and law enforcement duties around Malaysia’s coastline. This is the first AW139 order for the Malaysian government. Following the recent establishment of its Malaysian subsidiary AgustaWestland Malaysia Sdn Bhd, AgustaWestland set up a new regional maintenance and support center earlier this year, located at Kuala Lumpur’s Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport.
