Sikorsky to Double Alabama Plant’s Workforce

Sikorsky Aircraft is doubling the size of its workforce in Troy, Ala. over the next several months to provide major assemblies and sub-assemblies to support U.S. government H-60 Naval Hawks. The company plans to hire about 250 new employees. The Troy facility currently has about 240 employees involved in manufacturing H-60 helicopter tail cones and cabins for the U.S. Navy. The Troy expansion is part of Sikorsky’s overall plan to increase capacity and expand the supply chain in order to meet growing demand for its entire line of military, commercial aircraft, and aftermarket products and services. Sikorsky will begin its recruitment activities immediately via the company’s employment web site http://sikorskycareers.com and augment the effort with local advertising and other hiring events in upcoming weeks More
